PhotonicSweden promotes innovation and technology transfer in different ways:

• Through events by spreading ideas and connecting partners able to realise them.
• In EU projects by strengthening a large network of organisations and focusing on e.g. the following application areas such as life science (EPRISE), transportation, energy, environment and advanced manufacturing (in RespiceSME) and others (EuroPho21).
• Innovation is a main focus for the EU project RespiceSME. In that project we develop tools to improve innovation management and to analyse gaps in value-chains of products.
• by a close collaboration with research institutes such as RISE (Acreo and SP) and Swerea (Kimab and IVF).
