Photon Sports, with former Adopticum colleague Jonas Sjöberg as founder and CEO, raises SEK 8.5 million and invests in a Scandinavian launch.
The company is developing a product with which speed, reaction time, changes in direction, elasticity and explosiveness can be measured. Initially, the target group is football clubs with their leaders and players.
In May 2020, Photon Sports became part of the incubator Unboxx and Hanna Marklund was engaged as a board member in the business. Her role had been, among other things, to contribute with knowledge of how football players and coaches reason and contribute to product development. She has also been able to use her wide network to get feedback on the product.
Adopticum has also assisted Jonas with development projects and expertise, among other things within the framework of the structural fund project RIO.
”What we have helped Jonas with is above all to take another step in Photon Sport’s technology development towards a finished prototype. We have done this by offering Jonas free product development in optical measurement technology.” says Åsa Almström, project manager at Adopticum.
