Lumibird Photonics Sweden AB is a Laser equipment supplier in Gothenburg, and has provided the defence market with laser range finders and other optical solutions the last 60 years. The SAAB Group’s defense laser rangefinder business was acquired in 2022 and became Lumibird Photonics Sweden.
In October 2017, KEOPSYS, the fiber laser company founded by Marc Le Flohic in Lannion (France) and the QUANTEL group, specializing in solid-state lasers and their applications, merged. The new group changed its name from May 17 2018 to the LUMIBIRD group with more than 25 years of experience and expertise in 3 key technologies – solid-state lasers, laser diodes and fiber lasers – the group designs, manufactures and markets high performance lasers for the scientific (laboratories and universities), industrial (manufacturing, defense, LiDAR sensors), and medical (ophthalmology).
LUMIBIRD is on the Euronext Stock Exchange and employs over 1000 people. With R&D and manufacturing facilities on several continents, and a strong world-wide sales and service network, the group serves a global customer base.
