The European Technology Platform Photonics21 represents photonics industries and relevant R&D stakeholders along the entire photonics value chain across Europe.
One of the important activities of Photonics21 is to develop research and innovation priorities, and to provide input to the European research framework programme Horizon Europe.
The Photonics21 Board of Stakeholders (BoS) is the main decision-making body of the platform. In 2025, the Swedish members of the BoS are:

- Fabio Cavaliere, Ericsson AB
- Jan-Erik Källhammer, Magna Electronics Sweden AB
- Maria Nilsson Tengelin, RISE Research Institutes of Sweden
- Staffan Tjörnhammar, SLF Svenska Laserfabriken AB
Membership in Photonics21 is personal and free. By becoming a member and engaging in the various Photonics21 events and work groups, you get access to a fantastic network of European photonics experts and decision makers.
