Sweden is now taking the next step to strengthen its national photonics ecosystem. PhotonicSweden is leading a Swedish Photonics Excellence Cluster initiative, supported by Vinnova.
The goal is clear: by 2035, Sweden should be internationally recognised as a leader in photonics-enabled innovation — driving sustainable growth, competitiveness and technological renewal across sectors such as energy, health, quantum, manufacturing and defence.
Over the coming months, we will engage with organisations across the country to shape a shared vision, identify synergies and build a long-term strategy for excellence.
