PhotonicSweden awards an annual prize for the best master thesis in optics and photonics.
The prize is given to the thesis that stands out in areas such as societal impact, practical application, engineering quality, and scientific excellence. The quality of the report (language, structure, etc.) is also considered. The work must have been carried out at a Swedish university or college.
The main prize includes a diploma and a personal scholarship (normally 6,000 kr). The jury may also award one or two additional prizes of 2,000 kr if they find it justified.
