RISE has the pleasure to invite you to our next conference debriefing, organised this time in collaboration with Optopub.

Some of the Stockholm-based participants at this year´s Optical Networking and Communication Conference (OFC) will share their impressions from the conference, from a research and business perspective. If you want to hear everything about the current trends in optical communication, this is the place to be!

Introduction by Infinera

Dr. XiaoDan Pang, Infinera

Dr Pang is currently working at Infinera as a researcher on optical communications. He received a PhD in 2013 from DTU with a thesis entitled ”High capacity hybrid optical fibre-wireless communication links in access networks”. He was then a post-doctoral fellow at Acreo (now RISE), then a research scientist at Acreo and KTH. His research experience covers coherent fibre-optic communications, digital communications, wireless systems and millimetre-wave communication systems.


Dr. Rui Lin, KTH

Dr Lin is currently a post-doctoral fellow at the Optical Networks Laboratory (ONLab) of KTH. She got her PhD from KTH in 2016. Her research interests include optical communication, multi-core fibre communication and quantum-key distribution.


Dr. Mikhail Popov, RISE

Dr Popov is a senior scientist and cross-disciplinary expert. A physicist by education, artist by heart and team lead by reputation, he holds a PhD in electromagnetic theory and inverse problems from KTH. He has 20 years of experience in cross-disciplinary science. He has an interest in business and is active in finding financing for research and development projects.
